SYNOPSIS

In Tokyo, a young man, Tomo, and his companion, Hiroko, have hardly any money left to their name. Convinced that their misfortune is part of a larger, unexplainable joke, they agree to throw themselves into all the encounters that come their way with the singular hope of defeating this joke before it plays out.

collapse

This pact brings them on a journey through the city’s sights, sounds and subcultures. All clues eventually guide Tomo to one place, and he ends up getting more than he bargains for. What starts out as a little whimsical journey eventually evolves into a lighthearted adventure. Revolution Launderette is an unpredictable tale of a quest for self-individualisation and life’s most elusive answers.
