Repurposing and manipulating classic film footage and the filmmaker’s personal footage, the film weaves a phantasmagoric narrative of a Chinese lady named Ma Li who dreams she is a Caucasian named Mary.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Nelson Yeo is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talents Tokyo and Locarno Filmmakers Academy. His short film Five Trees was in competition at SGIFF 2017. He is currently working on his debut feature film.
